The progress of the construction site of the new school city gave rise to a wide discussion, in view of the binding procedures to be observed so that this new institution is officially registered by the Rectorate, with a scheduled start up 2015 end. On this point, the rector said that the parents would be informed in due time of the date of the re-entry, which would be either in September 2015 or during the school year, depending on the finalization of Jobs and many starting parameters of a structure like this. "It is a question of starting this school city in the best conditions," said Rector Galap.
More generally, Guillaume Arnell wanted to assure the rector that the voice of Saint Martin was still heard in Guadeloupe, a point on which the rector reassured him, who defined himself as a field man, as close as possible Of the preoccupations of all the communes and territories of the Academy he directs. "My goal is to be very present in the field, in order to implement adapted devices and observe concrete results," he said.
Rector Galap, who has already measured the specificities and needs of our territory, wants to make Saint-Martin a territory of experimentation whose ultimate goal would be the success of students. "I have some interesting ideas to develop, we have several levers like the digital. Constructions are possible in distance education, with the CNED for example, "said the rector.
On the issue of allophone pupils, Camille Galap indicated that the Inspectorate and the Innovation Unit of the Rectorate were perfectly in a position to set up, in partnership with the Collectivity, an innovative and adapted policy in order to train allophone children From kindergarten to ferry. The presence of language readers on the territory to train students and teachers is one of the possible solutions to enhance multilingualism.
For Vice-President Arnell, the presence of teachers trained in Saint-Martin's needs is a prerequisite for the success of our students. Regarding the systematic replacement of absent teachers, the Rector called for the establishment of partnerships with social organizations, a plausible possibility according to Senator Arnell, provided that the system is defined before the start of the school year.
