Message from the Pr
"Dear fellow citizens,
The 2016 income tax reporting campaign has just begun. You will soon receive by post your declaration form for the past year.
The declaration of income is actually much more than an administrative formality, it generates in terms of the tax revenues that will be directly allocated to the development of our territory. Declaring its taxes is therefore a strong citizen act, a major contribution to Saint-Martin.
This collective effort is paramount in many ways; It contributes directly to the implementation of public policies, in particular through the creation of projects and the implementation of useful achievements for the community and the future of our children. I am talking about the major structuring works, those whose territory is in great need, and the targeted actions in the neighborhoods, with the aim of improving the living conditions of the inhabitants.
I therefore invite you to complete your 2016 tax return with the utmost sincerity, and to send it to the Saint-Martin tax department, no later than the 31 May 2017, a deadline.
The forms and notices used to report your income from 2016 can be downloaded from the Saint-Martin community website: www.com-saint-martin.eu.

Finally, the staff of the tax department - now located at No. 16, rue Jean-Jacques Fayel in Concordia - will be strongly mobilized throughout May to welcome taxpayers and assist them in their declaration (starting on Tuesday 02 May ):
-Monday, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7h30 to 12h00 and from 14h00 to 16h00.
- Wednesdays and Fridays from 7h30 to 12h00.
Offices will also be opened in the districts:
-Quartier d'Orléans (House of the District Council): On Wednesday 17 May, from 8h00 to 12h00.
-Great Case (MJC): On Friday 19 May, from 8h00 to 12h00.
-Sandy Ground (MJC): On Wednesday 24 May, from 8h00 to 12h00.

Dear fellow citizens, we need you to develop Saint-Martin. I know that I can count on your civic sense to support our public policies in the general interest of Saint Martin. "

The President Daniel GIBBES
