As is the case every year, elected representatives of the territorial council representing the community on the boards of the colleges and lycées, accompanied by the services, began pre-school visits to ensure the successful completion of the annual work program In school buildings (valued at 5 million euros over the period 2016-2020).
In this context, the President Aline Hanson, territorial advisers René-Jean Duret, Alain Desormeaux and Big Rollande Questel, went to Mount college Agreement and the versatile High School Northern Islands Monday 22 August. They were accompanied by the Director of Education Medhi Boucard, assistant general manager of sustainable development pole Romain Perreau and the Chief Services Acting David Girardot.
Beyond routine maintenance, these two establishments are indeed the object of work to bring standards and safety of electrical installations following audits carried out by the control bodies. In addition to the high school lycée, major works have been carried out to comply with earthquake regulations. The latter work, which is absolutely necessary for the safety of pupils and staff, gave rise to a detailed presentation by the architect responsible for this dossier and the delegated contracting authority.
The President and Mrs. Hamlet, Headmaster of the school, agreed that this presentation will be renewed next 1erseptembre to allow teachers to have a clear understanding of the timetable and measures taken to ensure student safety. The fact remains that the demolition work in progress will inevitably be a source of noise nuisance. However, every effort will be made to complete them quickly in the interest of the school community.
After this first day in the field, politicians have found positives as the substantial completion of computer cabling classrooms Mont college Agreements. Nevertheless, there are certain areas of concern regarding the work to be carried out in the college of Quartier d'Orléans and the college Soualiga. The services of the community are mobilized to resolve them by the beginning of the school year.
This field operation will end on Tuesday 23 August with the visit of all the schools.

Evening - 2016-07-18
As every year, the Community of Saint-Martin wished to highlight the investment of Saint-Martin's students who graduated this year, organizing the Laureates' Night on Friday 22 July 2016 at the Sandy Ground Cultural Center. Present for the occasion, many elected officials and the prefect Anne Laubies, hailed the success of young graduates and invited them to continue their efforts along the way.
