The Territorial Council voted the original 2016 budget
Meeting in plenary on Thursday 31 March 2016, the territorial council of Saint-Martin voted the original budget of 2016. This budget, amounting to a little more than 200M €, has been called an action budget by President Aline Hanson, who intends to continue the renovations undertaken in 2015 and implement neighborhood projects in the neighborhoods.

The original 2016 budget was adopted by a majority vote (opposition TDG voted against, Councilor Charville abstained) with an investment section of 64801627, 93 € and a working section of 136870433,89 €, for An amount of 201672060 €.
In her introductory remarks, the President said that "for the nineteenth consecutive year, the result of the administrative account of the community is positive, with a clear intention to control operating expenditure". This investment budget takes into account the city contract signed last December, and the resulting actions, as well as the grievances of the six neighborhood councils.
