"Faces of Saint-Martin"

The Collectivité de Saint-Martin decided to extend the call for applications until 24 March 2017 -Exhibition of photographs «Faces of Saint-Martin». This additional month is necessary to allow candidates to organize and present their artistic work to the community.
As a reminder, the community organizes an exhibition of photographs, which will take place outside on the streets of Marigot on public buildings. Directly inspired by the project "Inside out" by the French artist JR, the exhibition "Faces of Saint-Martin" gives everyone the opportunity to share his portrait, his story and to convey a message in the urban space. This exhibition will illustrate the diversity of the population of Saint-Martin and will place the human being in the heart of the city. It will be visible to as many people as possible and will allow visitors to take a closer look at the inhabitants of the island.
Photographs of portraits of adults (men and women), details of natural elements and elements of Saint Martin's architecture will be printed on large blue-backed poster paper.
The candidates will have to take 10 photos in black and white (portraits, close-ups of the natural and urban environment of Saint Martin). Number of photos by theme: 8 portraits, 1 detail natural element, 1 detail architectural element. (Recent photos).
Applications (complete file and USB stick containing the photographs) are to be deposited with the Purchasing & Public Procurement Department of the community, Rue Félix Eboué in Marigot (Resp. Mrs. Carole BIQUE), until Friday 24 March 2017 to 12h Of rigor).

Culture

"In 2012, the community of Saint-Martin, under the aegis of President Alain Richardson, has fostered the creation of an audiovisual support aimed at enhancing and promoting local artists. Creative Saint-Martin is born, and with this concept, a website exclusively dedicated to these artists retracing the formidable cultural palette of Saint-Martin. Musicians, sculptors, painters, writers, photographers, the eclecticism of Saint-Martin's art is celebrated by a light and exceptional landscapes that make the beauty of Friendly Island. Good discovery ! ".
