Successful Departure 2026

The Collectivité of Saint-Martin and the Directorate of the Maison de Saint-Martin are renewing the "Successful Departure" program on March 28, 2026, at the Saint-Martin Interprofessional Chamber of Commerce (CCISM). This annual event allows high school seniors preparing to leave for university or training programs to plan their move abroad and receive advice for a smoother transition into their studies.

Successful Departure is an event specifically for high school students preparing to leave for university. Its aim is to support new students in Saint Martin, providing them with all the necessary information to help them understand the potential challenges of settling far from Saint Martin and their families. Parents are also welcome to attend and gather information, particularly regarding available financial aid and tax benefits.

For its 13th edition, the event is opening up to other audiences, such as job seekers and those wishing to train or retrain. This expansion illustrates the inclusive nature of the Student Orientation and Mobility Pathway (POME), which recognizes that the importance of educational mobility extends beyond the school setting and concerns the entire country.

The Successful Departure 2026 edition is primarily aimed at:

- To all students in their final year of high school,

- To students in BTS

- To students in vocational baccalaureate programs

- To young people aged 18 to 30 in higher education

- To young job seekers aged 16 to 25

- To adults in employment, retraining and/or career transition

- To the parents

This 13th edition of “Successful Departure 2026” will welcome the public concerned at the CCISM from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Meetings with institutional partners, associations and thematic workshops will be held, as well as workshops on budgeting, housing, administrative management and emotional management.

A testimonials stand will also be hosted by former students and people who have returned to the area after completing vocational training.

To answer participants' questions, the Collectivité will be present through its operational departments:
