Photo Exhibition Opening "In the style of Martin Parr"
Saint Martin LogoEDUCATION AND PHOTOGRAPHY
The Collectivité of Saint-Martin and the final-year vocational students specializing in Sales and Marketing (MCV) at the Daniella Jeffry High School present the exhibition "In the Style of Martin Parr" from April 1st to April 24th in the Collectivité's lobby. This exhibition highlights original and modern photography of Saint-Martin.
Through photography, the final year vocational students of Commerce and Sales (MCV) at the Daniella Jeffry Vocational High School are inspired by the work of photographer Martin Parr in order to offer an original situation for reflection on society and the island of Saint Martin.
Through the work of Martin Parr and photography, students are led to:
- to reflect on the current world and the specific characteristics of the island of Saint Martin.
- organize a cultural event
- to welcome and serve the public.
This educational and cultural project allows students to value and give meaning to the work done in the classroom and at a professional site outside the school setting. Indeed, students are assessed during the exhibition opening and during the Continuous Assessment (CCF), a certification method used to award professional diplomas.
In partnership with the Collectivité of Saint-Martin and Photo Caraïbes SXM, the photographs of the high school students are presented during a private viewing which takes place on Wednesday, April 1st from 5pm to 7pm, in the hall of the collectivité.
The photography exhibition continues until April 24, 2026.
