August 2025 at the Sandy Ground Cinema

The Collectivité de Saint-Martin, in collaboration with the State and its Directorate of Cultural Action (DAC), as well as the National Centre for Cinema and the Animated Image (CNC), invites you to the open-air cinema during the month of August!

The "August at the Movies" event is being held again this year. It will feature free outdoor screenings of films in neighborhoods from August 2 to 30, 2025. Showings will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday evenings.

The period before the start of the school year is often a quiet time for activities. The Collectivité de Saint-Martin has therefore decided to offer free open-air cinema screenings to keep children in the area occupied during this period.

To compensate for the lack of a cinema, a fun and recreational activity for young people from the neighborhoods and their families is proposed. This is an opportunity to create a friendly moment promoting exchanges and social cohesion within the neighborhoods of Marigot, Colombier, Sandy-Ground, Grand-Case and Quartier d'Orléans.

This operation is co-financed by the DAC (the State) within the framework of the cooperation agreement for cinema and animated images, between the DAC, the Collectivité of Saint-Martin and the National Cinema Center.
