DEATH

President's condolences to bereaved families

October 09, 2019

This week, the Saint-Martin community has been severely tested. Three figures from our island have left us.

Mrs. Daniella Jeffry, whose disappearance has aroused sadness and numerous and sincere tributes from an entire population, tributes which reflect the richness of her personal and professional career.
Mrs. Joyce Fleming of Quartier d'Orléans, a figure in her neighborhood, appreciated by all for her kindness, her availability and her generosity.
Mr. Addy Richardson, loved for his endearing personality and artistic sensitivity. A talented artist that Saint-Martin will not forget.

These three personalities are part of our cultural heritage and we mourn them today. Together they represented the noblest facets of our identity. Their respective examples should encourage us to preserve this heritage made of culture and traditions that has built our identity and the history of our Friendly Island.

The Collectivité de Saint-Martin, its elected officials and its staff, wish to extend their most sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Mrs. Jeffry, Mrs. Fleming and Mr. Richardson, as well as all the moral support and comfort necessary in such circumstances.

These three Saint-Martin figures are now among the stars that make the Saint-Martin sky sparkle; their memory remains alive in each of us.
