Intervention on the Sandy Ground Bridge

The Collectivité of Saint-Martin informs residents and motorists using the Sandy-Ground bridge that work on the structure is scheduled for September 8 and 9 and may disrupt traffic.

 As part of the scheduled technical work on the Sandy Ground bridge, users are advised that traffic disruptions will occur on the morning of September 9.

The day on Tuesday, September 8th, consists of a first visual diagnosis to check and inspect the bridge without manipulation, in the presence of technicians and a hydraulic expert.

The following day, Wednesday, September 9, 2026, opening and closing maneuvers of the bridge are scheduled between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. These operations may cause temporary traffic disruptions.

Users are advised to plan their journeys in advance and to respect the signage and instructions put in place on site.

The final diagnostic report for the Sandy-Ground bridge is expected to be submitted in October, following the civil engineering diagnostic.
