Free consultation from an architect consultant
October 31, 2025Free monthly office hours of the Council for Architecture, Urban Planning and the Environment (CAUE)
The Collectivité de Saint-Martin has entered into an agreement with the Council of Architecture, Urban Planning and the Environment (CAUE) of Guadeloupe to provide technical assistance to the population of Saint-Martin in matters of urban planning. Are you looking for information on your construction project? Don't hesitate to take advantage of this free service offered by the Collectivité's Living Environment and Ecological Transition department.
The Council for Architecture, Urban Planning and the Environment (CAUE) of Guadeloupe is present in Saint-Martin, on a monthly basis, thanks to a partnership signed with the Collectivité de Saint-Martin. Thus, a consulting architect visits our territory to provide free advice to Saint-Martin residents on their construction projects.
The CAUE's consulting architects can provide information to individuals in various areas of intervention, such as assistance with the design, orientation, location and integration of a building in relation to the site in which it is located, taking into account natural risks (cyclones, earthquakes, floods) in the construction project, current regulations, obligations, construction costs, rehabilitation, or even energy savings and town planning taxes.
These offices provide advice and information to individuals to promote architecture that is integrated into its environment and mindful of the harmonious and sustainable development of the region.
The CAUE architect acts free of charge as an advisor; he may not, under any circumstances, carry out project management operations, file building permits, carry out expert appraisals or draw up plans for individuals. He is not authorized to visit the site.
Consultations are individual and free. Simply come directly to the office on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., in the event department meeting room on rue Victor MAURASSE.
For personalized advice, individuals are invited to bring useful documents with them during consultations:
- Photograph of the land, buildings and surroundings
- Location plan, cadastral extract, building plan
- Any other document allowing the project to be assessed
The Saint-Martin Collectivité invites residents to take full advantage of this free service, set up to serve users.
