Free monthly consultations offered by the Council for Architecture, Urban Planning and the Environment (CAUE)

The Collectivité of Saint-Martin has partnered with the Guadeloupe Council for Architecture, Urban Planning and the Environment (CAUE) to provide technical assistance to the residents of Saint-Martin regarding urban planning. Are you looking for information about your construction project? Don't hesitate to take advantage of this free service offered by the Collectivité's Department of Living Environment and Ecological Transition.

The Architecture, Urban Planning and Environment Council (CAUE) of Guadeloupe is present in Saint-Martin on a monthly basis, thanks to a partnership agreement with the Collectivité of Saint-Martin. A consulting architect visits the island to provide free advice to Saint-Martin residents on their construction projects.

The CAUE's consulting architects can provide information to individuals in various areas of intervention, such as design assistance, orientation, location and integration of a building in relation to the site in which it is located, consideration of natural risks (cyclones, earthquakes, floods) in the construction project, regulations in force, obligations, construction costs, rehabilitation, or even energy saving and urban planning taxes.

These sessions consist of providing advice and information to individuals to promote architecture that is integrated into its environment and mindful of the harmonious and sustainable development of the territory.

The CAUE architect provides free advice; under no circumstances can they carry out project management, submit building permits, conduct expert assessments, or create plans for individuals. They are not authorized to visit sites.

The consultations are individual and free. Simply come directly to the drop-in session on Friday, March 27, 2026, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., in the meeting room of the events department, rue Victor MAURASSE in Marigot.

For personalized advice, individuals are encouraged to bring relevant documents to their consultations:

- Photograph of the land, buildings and surrounding area

- Site plan, cadastral extract, building plan

- Any other document that allows for an assessment of the project

The Collectivité of Saint-Martin invites residents to take full advantage of this free service, set up to serve users.
