Presentation of the device

The Collectivité of Saint-Martin provides financial support to tourist accommodations in the categories of "tourist hotel" and "tourist residence" in the form of direct investment aid, supplementing the financing of operations from its own funds and bank resources, with the aim of:

  • To develop a range of classified accommodation
  • To enable hotels and tourist residences to modernize in order to increase their capacity, comfort and quality
  • To adapt to changes in tourism demand.

Who is eligible?

  • To be a classified hotel or residence
  • To be registered with the trade and companies register
  • To be based in Saint-Martin (French side)

What expenses are eligible?

  • Signs (in compliance with current regulations)
  • Beautification and refurbishment work on the front of the building (exterior facade of the listed hotel and residences)
  • Interior renovations: layout work: renovation/replacement of floors, repainting, changing light fixtures, lighting, furniture…
  • Exterior improvements: renovation/repainting of the facade, renovation/replacement of sign and facade lighting, exterior furniture and decorative elements, replacement/renovation of awnings, security blinds and roller shutters
  • Security systems: alarms and cameras inside classified hotels and residences

Case follow-up

You will receive confirmation of receipt of your request and a summary by email.

The processing department will request additional documents or information from you, if necessary, directly through the single point of contact.

Once the file is complete, it is presented to the Committee on Rural and Tourism Economic Affairs for its opinion.

Next, the case is presented to the Executive Council (the sole decision-making body).

You will be notified of the decision.
