Presentation of the GREEN UP system

This investment support scheme for the agricultural sector and rural areas aims to support the structuring of the agricultural sector in the territory but also to contribute to the creation of the conditions necessary to achieve, in the long term, local food self-sufficiency.

Who is eligible?

Agricultural operators or businesses:

Registered in the agricultural register, the trades register or the commercial and companies register

Based in Saint-Martin (French side)

Regardless of their legal form

Working in the agriculture and livestock sector

As a primary or secondary occupation

What expenses are eligible?

The construction/modernization of agricultural holdings for the purposes of modernizing or securing livestock farming

Investments in modernizing wastewater and effluent management

Investments related to water collection and/or storage (drilling and well creation / water reservoir) - individual or collective means of rainwater storage)

Investments related to protection against or reduction of the impact of climatic and seismic hazards

Investments contributing to the development of short supply chains (direct sales, street vending, etc.)

Investments enabling the development of agro-environmental or resource-efficient practices (aquaponics, hydroponics)

Investments in collective equipment (pigsty, honey house, storage capacity, etc.)

The creation/reinforcement of fences

The acquisition of agricultural equipment

Intangible investments (software, patents, etc.)

List of supporting documents

Administrative documents of the legal representative of the structure

  • Manager/operator's ID
  • Proof of address

Administrative documents of the structure

  • KBIS or extract from the agricultural register, the trades register or the commercial and companies register,
  • Company statutes, if applicable.
  • Certificate of tax compliance,
  • Certificate of social security compliance,
  • Financial statements for the last fiscal year (n-1),
  • Bank account details in the name of the entity (company or sole proprietorship),
  • Declaration of other aid received during the two previous fiscal years and the current fiscal year ( De minimis aid certificate),
  • Title deed / lease for the agricultural land operated by the company,
  • If the applicant is not the owner of the land: Authorization from the landowner.

Investment file and project

  • Letter requesting funding addressed to the President of the Collectivité of Saint-Martin, signed by the person authorized to commit the organization.
  • All quotes relating to investments,
  • Building permit or prior declaration of works (if the investment requires planning permission),
  • Authorizations/declarations to the relevant authorities for certain specific investments (drilling, effluent management, etc.),
  • If new construction: interior layout plan specifying the use of the premises and the surface areas and/or location of planned equipment.
  • If extension/renovation/development of existing building: plans before and after work specifying the use of the premises and the areas and/or location of the planned equipment.

Case follow-up

You will receive confirmation of receipt of your request and a summary by email.

The processing department will request additional documents or information from you, if necessary, directly through the single point of contact.

Once the file is complete, it is presented to the Committee on Rural and Tourism Economic Affairs for its opinion.

Next, the case is presented to the Executive Council (the sole decision-making body).

You will be notified of the decision.
