How do I apply for an Urban Planning Certificate (CU)?
Are you looking to buy a building plot, build a house or make a donation? It is recommended to request a Town Planning Certificate (CU) from the town hall before carrying out any of these operations.
There are 2 types of urban planning certificate:
- The CU information (Type A): This includes information on zoning regulations for the plot, taxes, and easements. It is sufficient if you do not have specific plans.
- The operational CU (type B): indicates whether your project is feasible on the plot in question.
What is the Plan for the Prevention of Foreseeable Natural Risks (PPRN or PPRNP)?
- It is a planning document that regulates land use based on foreseeable natural risks to which it is subject.
- The Saint-Martin Natural Risk Prevention Plan (PPRN) was updated in 2021, notably to facilitate the island's reconstruction following Hurricane Irma in 2017 and to ensure the implementation of preventative measures. It is available further down this page.
