You have the option of registering as an independent candidate for the general theory test or the motorcycle theory test only. For the practical test, you must register with a driving school.

Attention: if you obtain your driving licence code in the collectivité of Saint Martin you are required to take the practical test in Saint Martin as well.

For your information : Only persons who have established their normal residence in the Collectivité of Saint-Martin are authorized to register for the driving licence examination in the territory.

The driving licence issued by the Collectivité of St Martin confers the same rights as a national licence.

However, if you establish your residence outside the Collectivité of Saint-Martin, you will have to exchange your driving licence with the competent authority of your new residence within one year.
