NOTICE OF TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE GALISBAY PUBLIC CAR PARK FOR THE MILITARY CEREMONY ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2025
The President of the Collectivité of Saint-Martin,
Seen,
- Article LO 6313-7 of the General Code of Local Authorities,
- Article LO 6352-6 of the General Code of Local Authorities relating to the status of the President as a Judicial Police Officer,
- Article LO 6352-7 of the General Code of Local Authorities relating to the management of the public domain by the President of the Territorial Council who exercises his police powers,
- Article LO 6352-8 of the General Code of Local Authorities concerning the exercise by the President of his own police powers in accordance with Title One of Book II of the General Code of Local Authorities,
- the celebration of the Feast of Saint Genevieve on Friday, December 12, 2024 by the National Gendarmerie,
- the favorable opinion of the Technical Safety Committee dated November 18, 2025,
- the favorable opinion of the Territorial Police issued during the meeting of the Technical Security Committee on November 18, 2025,
- the need to regulate traffic and parking during the event,
- the need to ensure the maintenance of public order and the proper organization of the event,
- on the proposal of the Director General of Services of the Collectivité of Saint-Martin,
STOP
ARTICLE 1 : As part of the organization of the military ceremony on the occasion of the feast of Saint Genevieve, the Galisbay public parking lot will be temporarily closed on Friday, December 12, 2025 from noon to 9:00 PM.
During this period:
- No vehicle parking will be permitted on the site during the aforementioned period.
- The site will be entirely reserved for the organizing committee to allow for the installation of equipment on site (tents, chairs in particular),
- No parking signs will need to be installed by the Networks and Equipment Department,
- Any vehicle in violation will be towed and impounded at the owner's expense.
ARTICLE 2 : Emergency vehicles (Ambulance, Fire and Rescue Service, Territorial Police, National Gendarmerie) will have free access when needed.
ARTICLE 3 : Those who violate these provisions will be prosecuted and fined in the event of an offense in accordance with the Highway Code.
ARTICLE 4 : The Territorial Police are responsible for ensuring the implementation of this ORDER. All these measures must be respected in order to guarantee the safety and optimal functioning of the event.
ARTICLE 5 : This ORDER shall be transcribed in the register intended for this purpose, submitted to the visa of the Prefect, copies shall be made to the Territorial Police, the National Gendarmerie, the STIS, the Networks and Equipment Directorate, the Regulations and Transport Directorate, the organizers and brought to the public's attention.
