Presidential Decree - Prohibition of sales in glass bottles - Grand-Case Tuesdays

PROHIBITING THE SALE OF GLASS BOTTLES ON THE "BERTIN-MAURICE LEONEL" BOULEVARD IN GRAND-CASE DURING THE "GRAND-CASE TUESDAYS" EVENT

 

The President of the Collectivité of Saint-Martin,

Seen,

- Article LO 6313-7 of the General Code of Local Authorities,

- Article LO 6352-6 of the General Code of Local Authorities relating to the status of the President as a Judicial Police Officer,

- Article LO 6352-7 of the General Code of Local Authorities relating to the management of the public domain by the President of the Territorial Council who exercises his police powers,

- Article LO 6352-8 concerning the exercise by the President of his own police powers in accordance with Title One of Book II of the General Code of Local Authorities,

- The organization of the 22nd edition of the event "Les Mardis de Grand-Case",

- The program of evenings taking place on the "Bertin-Maurice Léonel" Boulevard in Grand-Case,

- The working meeting of the Territorial Sub-Commission dated February 6, 2026,

- The need to ensure public safety, health and order,

- On the proposal of the Director General of Services of the Collectivité of Saint-Martin,

ARTICLE 1 : As part of the organization of the 22nd edition of the "Grand-Case Tuesdays" event , it is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN to sell drinks in glass bottles on the "Bertin-Maurice Léonel" Boulevard in Grand-Case on Tuesday evenings according to the schedule below:

 

 

- Tuesday, February 24, 2026,

-Tuesday, March 3, 2026,

-Tuesday, March 10, 2026,

-Tuesday, March 17, 2026,

-Tuesday, March 24, 2026,

-Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

In case of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances, the measures in place will be extended to the next two Tuesdays, namely:

- Tuesday, April 7, 2026

- Tuesday, April 14, 2026

ARTICLE 2 : These provisions apply to the organizing committee as well as to fixed or mobile businesses engaged in the sale of beverages in the vicinity.

ARTICLE 3 : Any offence found will be punished in accordance with the law in force.

ARTICLE 4 : The Territorial Police is responsible for the execution of this ORDER.

ARTICLE 5 : This ORDER shall be transcribed on the register intended for this purpose, subject to the visa of the Prefect, a copy shall be made to the Territorial Police, the National Gendarmerie, the SDIS, the organizing committee, the traders, street vendors and brought to the public's attention.
