PRESIDENTIAL DECREE No. 063-2025

PROHIBITING THE SALE OF GLASS BOTTLES IN THE CHRISTMAS VILLAGE SET UP ON THE SEAFRONT KIOSK SQUARE AND SURROUNDING AREA ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 20, 2025

 

The President of the Collectivité of Saint-Martin,

Seen,

- Article LO 6313-7 of the General Code of Local Authorities,

- Article LO 6352-6 of the General Code of Local Authorities relating to the status of the President as a Judicial Police Officer,

- Article LO 6352-7 of the General Code of Local Authorities relating to the management of the public domain by the President of the Territorial Council who exercises his police powers,

- Article LO 6352-8 concerning the exercise by the President of his own police powers in accordance with Title One of Book II of the General Code of Local Authorities,

- The organization of Christmas festivities organized by the Cultural Action Department of the Collectivité,

- The program of festivities,

- The working meeting of the Technical Safety Committee dated December 3, 2025,

- The need to ensure public safety, health and order,

- On the proposal of the Director General of Services of the Collectivité of Saint-Martin,

ARTICLE 1 : As part of the festivities organized by the Cultural Action Department of the Collectivité, it is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN to sell drinks in glass bottles in the Christmas village set up on the Place du Kiosque du Front-de-Mer in Marigot and in the surrounding area, on Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 06:00 until 23:00.

 

 

  

 

ARTICLE 2 : These provisions apply to all street vendors on the site, local restaurateurs (lolos) and fixed businesses operating in the vicinity selling beverages.

ARTICLE 3 : Any offence found will be punished in accordance with the law in force.

ARTICLE 4 : The Territorial Police is responsible for the execution of this ORDER.

ARTICLE 5 : This ORDER shall be transcribed in the register intended for this purpose and submitted to the Prefect for approval; a copy shall be made to the Territorial Police, the National Gendarmerie, the SDIS, the traders and restaurateurs of the sector, the street vendors, the Public Security and Tranquility Delegation and brought to the public's attention.
